WHAT IS VENTURE UP?
Venture Up is a four-week business accelerator for young New Zealanders, aged between 17-22 who have proven they’re driven, motivated and determined.
In four weeks, not only will you start a business but you’ll also get to develop your leadership skills with some of New Zealand’s best business talent.
WHAT IS A BUSINESS ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME?
A business accelerator is a programme of learning, mentorship and growth experience to get your entrepreneurial skill set, personal experience and business venture going bigger, better, & faster.
WHO CAN TAKE PART?
If you are between 17-22 years of age, you can apply. There are some requirements:
- You must have left secondary school by January of the calendar year in which you are applying (for example, for the 2019 cohort, you must have finished school at the end of 2018).
As part of the development of Venture Up, we have decided to enact a regional focus. This means that the majority of places available will be for those who live in the region we are running it in but we will be reserving a limited number of places for students outside the region. Participants from outside the region will be required to find accommodation while the programme is running.
HOW DO I APPLY?
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The programme itself won’t cost anything but there are some things that you’ll need to cover:
- Transport to and from the Venture Up host city and venue
- Accommodation (if you’re not from the host city)
- Any spending money that you might want to splash
WHEN AND WHERE IS VENTURE UP HELD?
The four-week summer programme runs from 21 Jan in Wellington and Queenstown. Applications are now open.
